My travel diary: Antigua

Back to my roots.

It’s been years since my last trip to Antigua. I was 15 and I was only there for the day. I’ve travelled to Antigua for Christmas and a couple other times during my childhood but this was my first time as an adult. It was nerve-wracking to be going at first but also exciting. I travelled with my younger sister who had never been to Antigua before so it was definitely a learning experience for both of us.

We quickly learned how to navigate the bus system and spent most of our days on the beach and in town. Antigua is a great vacation spot simply because of all the beaches. In fact, there are 365 beaches on the island. We got to visit 3 different beaches during the 5 days we were there. I wish I could say I did more than just lie on the beach all day but that’s basically what I did. It was a quick trip but I took advantage of the downtime to hang out with my grandmother and get away from the cold Toronto weather.

Check out my beach photos below and as always outfit details are at the bottom!
