It’s a match: I found my Fenty Beauty shade

I’m definitely throwing shade, No. 480 to be exact.

If you haven’t heard about Rihanna’s latest beauty collection I cannot speak to you. Seriously, my own mother is obsessed and she barely wears makeup.

My theory is that anything Rihanna touches turns into the next big thing—from slip dresses to the sans bras trend, furry slides, and now an inclusive makeup empire. She’s a trendsetter like no other and she is quickly taking the beauty world by storm. I couldn’t be happier and I will support her, bank account allowing.

As a woman of colour, and most notably a girl with dark skin, I was so excited about Fenty Beauty the minute I heard there were 40 different foundation shades. I’m even more pleased to know that every time I walk into a Sephora, the dark girl shades are almost immediately sold out. I have to order online as a result, but I’m happy to do so when I know the product is THAT good.

And it’s not just the foundation. The entire collection has been flying off the shelves. My favourite are the Killawatt highlighters and the Matchsticks. Oh and then basically everything else. Why? Because RIRI.
