#OOTD: We should all be feminists

We should all be feminists.

I️’d like to say that I️ remember the exact moment I️ declared myself a feminist. While I️ think I’ve always championed the idea of equality and women’s rights it was probably sometime during my Women’s Studies Class at university that I️ said, “yeah. I’m a feminist.” Around the same time, pop culture popularized our interactions and discussions of feminism and women’s rights. And I’m so about it. Even something as simple as wearing a tee or necklace with FEMINIST emblazoned across it is enough to start a conversation. Literally. I’ve had several people stop and compliment and praise my tee. It’s honestly the best feeling.

When I️ saw this tee on the ASOS website I️ couldn’t help myself from adding it to my cart. I️’m a huge fan of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s powerful TED Talk titled “We Should A Be Feminists” and more recently the white Dior tee from the Spring 2017 collection. Rihanna also wore one. Just saying.

I usually wear mine quite casually with jeans and a bomber jacket but I decided to dress it up a bit with my favourite black tulle skirt and booties! Check out the pictures below and outfit details are at the bottom.

  1. Girl, I love your blog even more now! ❤ ❤ ❤ I agree with you, this has been more of an everyday talk and I feel it is great that our generation is getting it out there and calling out misogynistic, racist, sexist, homophobic behaviors, in the end we're all just human and should stick together, and yes, I love your t-shirt!
