#MOOD: Fashion like it’s 1999

It’s a 90s thing.

As a nostalgic 90s kid, channeling that decade of style comes naturally to me. And, if I’m being honest, I don’t think I ever really left the 90s. I’ve just been waiting for all my favourite pieces to come back into fashion. Puffer jackets are probably the biggest staple in my wardrobe right now and have gotten me through another Canadian winter. I’m going to be a little sad when I finally pack them away for the summer.

IMG_4913But, I’m happy to channel the 90s in other ways. For example, I finally got myself a pair of Fila Disruptors and I can’t believe it took me so long to purchase them. They’re so comfortable. They’re also reminiscent of the 90s when Fila, along with brands like Reebok and Champion were huge. Twenty years later and look what brands are dominating the street style game. It’s not a coincidence at all. It’s the predictable cycle of fashion circling back to the greatest 90s influences and I’m here for it.
