CUZ I LOVE YOU, LIZZO

Cuz I bowed in the presence of greatness.

There are only a few artists that I love enough to pay to see them in concert and Lizzo is on my top five list. Beyonce, Sia, Sara Bareilles, and the Spice Girls are the other favourites if you’re wondering. But, Lizzo has quickly become one of my favourite and if you haven’t heard of her, you need to. Her latest album is amazing. I’m thinking about posting an album review on my blog but I just might for her.

She’s a American singer-songwriter, rapper, and OTT performer in all the best ways. She’s been around for you but made her grand debut into mainstream pop culture this year when she dropped her new album. I’ve been listening to her music for a few years now but became more and more obsessed with her when I heard Lizzo’s song “Truth Hurts” for the first time in late 2017. In the last six months, Lizzo’s become one of the biggest artists in the business and I’m so happy she’s finally getting that recognition. Her album, Cuz I Love You, is one of my favourite albums of the year and I haven’t stopped listening to it yet. If you ask me, Lizzo is one performer and artist this world needs right now and I’m so happy Cuz I Love You is becoming so major.

 

 

 

 

Well ‘Cuz I Love You, Lizzo

When I found out that Lizzo was performing not once but twice this year in Toronto, I jumped at the chance to buy tickets. Cuz I love Lizzo  and her music that much. Last night was her first show and I’m still tingling with post-concert joy. She was amazing and I cannot wait to see her again when she plays at Budweiser Stage in September for her Cuz I Love You Too tour.

 

 

My outfit of the night #OOTN

Naturally, I had to include some pictures of the outfit I wore. I’m in love with this gold knit crop top from H&M that I’ve had for a few years now. It’s so comfy and I love the little hints of gold. I also really wanted to wear shorts last night. I don’t usually. I tend to gravitate toward a dress or skirt when I’m dressing up but I love these shorts because the have bubble hem and pockets. They’re perfect for stuffing my keys and I.D. in so I didn’t have to carry a purse.
