I’m dreaming of a few things this Christmas
I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. It’s been a long year, but I’ve been really grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had. This year is similar to previous years when it comes to things I’ve been coveting. My wish list is a good mix of a fashion and beauty with a few random extras throw in. Here’s what I’m wishing for this Christmas!
A tiny bag
Fashion is probably my first love, and accessories have a very special place in my heart. Growing up as a tall, plus size girl made it difficult to participate fully in the fashion industry, but accessories have always been an inclusive and accessible alternative. My handbag collection has grown in the last few years and it’s full of colourful, fun, and unique pieces. This year, I’ve been particularly obsessed with this boxy Bento bag from Canadian brand, A Bronze Age.
Millennial Pink Headphones
My Christmas list wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t a little pink included. I’ve recently embraced wireless headphones and I’ve been enjoying it for the most part. I have a pair of Solo 4s already, but I’d love another pair in pink.
A sparkly candle
Candles are an easy gift options if you’re not sure what to get someone for Christmas. I personally have a little collection of candles, and during my weekly trip to Indigo, I found the next one I’d like to to buy. This sparkly pink candle from The Candier is the perfect addition to my collection and the pinkmas theme I have going on in my office.
Instant Printer
After having a few of Fujifilm’s Instax cameras, I realized I really just need this portable printer and a lot of film. It allows you to print any photo from your phone on instant film, so you don’t have to worry about creating the picture perfect moment with the traditional camera.
A little sparkle
Of all the collaborations that I’ve seen this year, one of my favourites has been Eloquii and Kate Spade. Their holiday collection is nothing short of stunning and I want literally everything. If I had to pick one piece though, it’d probably be the white poplin blouse with the OTT bow at the collar.
Bonus: A dream or two come true
At the beginning of the year, I went to a beauty event with Shea Moisture and made the cutest vision board to manifest the things I wanted in 2024. Among other things, I really wanted to travel this year (check!), have more opportunities to write and working in the media industry (check!), and work on embracing a “lucky girl” mantra (check and check!). I guess my last wish would be opportunities to relax, reflect, and enjoy the last moments of 2024 with friends and family because I’ve already had such a great year. And maybe have some time to dream up an amazing and fulfilling year ahead!
