What can I say? Pink is my favourite.
If I had to pick one colour to wear for the rest of my life, chances are I’d choose pink. From soft millennial pink and sweet bubblegum pink to bold Barbie pink, I’m a fan of every shade. And funnily enough, it’s a colour I should be wearing.
Over the summer I did a colour analysis and found out I’m a true winter. It’s a colour profile I share with celebs like Zooey Deschanel, Janelle Monáe, and Selena Gomez. One of the core colours in the true winter palette is (wait for it) pink!
In honour of my favourite colour, I’ve compiled a few pink outfits I’ve worn this year.
Soft girl pink
There’s nothing better than millennial pink, in my honest opinion. It’s just so effortlessly cute and girly. Especially when it comes in the form of a flowy pleated maxi skirt and adorable crochet cardigan. I bought the woven shell bag during a trip to New Orleans over the summer and couldn’t wait to wear it with this skirt and cardi combo.
Pink goes good with Grey
In some ways, pink has become a neutral in my closet. I’ve paired it with a ton of different colours, including a soft, cool grey. I’ve made it a personal mission to wear a colour during the coldest and darkest months of the year (read: dopamine dressing), and this knitted set from H&M was an immediate go-to because it’s so warm. Add in a few silver accessories and the look is complete!
Pink Canadian Tuxedo
Denim is a wardrobe staple, but I don’t really wear it that often. Or I didn’t, until this pink denim set came into my life. The Birds Papaya did a super cute collaboration with Reitmans over the summer, and I was first in line to get this pink denim jacket and skirt. Paired with a matching T-shirt and my sparkly Barbie x Aldo boombox purse, and it’s quickly become one of my go-to outfits when I’m running around the city.
Glossier Pink
What else would I wear to a Glossier store? On a recent trip to New York City with my sister, we decided to do a quick shopping trip in Soho before heading to the airport. I wanted to be comfortable, but still on brand, so I wore this plisse matching set from Pretty Little Thing. I have this set in four colours because they’re the perfect combination of comfy and cute.
Barbie Pink
2023 was the year of Barbiecore, and I was one of many people who got caught up in the pink-forward trend. Of all my pink-hued pieces, this hot pink puffer coat from H&M is probably one of my favourites. Finding it the Yorkville location in Toronto years ago was nothing short of fate and I’ve only brought it out on special occasions.
