Body care by L’Occitane x Omy

Serving body!

L’Occitane has become one of my go-to brands for skincare because the products are just so good. My collection of favourites has grown over the years but I will always have small hoard of their Shea Body Cream in my bedroom. It’s thick and hydrating without being greasy or heavy on my skin. I also love that I can bring back empty containers (from any brand) and recycle them in store. I get a small discount, and I know my beauty containers will be recycled and reused in the future.

So when I discovered that L’Occitane was releasing a limited edition collection of my favourite line, I had to grab it. They partnered with French illustration company Omy to redesign the packaging with a fun and truly artistic aesthetic. The set comes with a couple of Sharpies, so you can colour in the design. It’s very much like an adult colouring book, making it a fun and stress-reducing activity for anyone.

The new violet scent

I was a little hesitant about the new scent, because I’m such a fan of the original. But, I had nothing to worry about because it has a really light fragrance that isn’t overwhelming. I wouldn’t call it sweet but it’s definitely part of the floral family. I also really love the texture. It has an airy, almost fluffy texture that absorbs quickly into the skin. It’s the complete opposite to the Ultra Rich Body Cream I’m familiar with, but I’m quickly becoming a fan.

The other goodies

Along with the tub of body cream, I also got a small tube of violet hand cream, a bottle of shower cream, and a bar of soap. I’ve tried both the shower cream and the soap and I’m really liking them. They’re both part of the shea family, so I know they’re hydrating my skin instead of drying it out. And, I can layer all the products to create a unified fragrance. I’m also super excited to get colouring. The set comes with two Sharpies, so I can colour to my heart’s content.
