Orange you glad it’s orange?
I wore orange for the first time since high school. I played on the soccer team and our jerseys were a bright and unforgettable shade of orange that I swore I would never associate myself with again. Well, until a certain soft knit sweater from H&M came into my life.
Yellow was such a big mood for me in 2018. I thought maybe I’d up the ante by adding a little orange into the mix. But, the most difficult part of having orange clothing is trying to style it with other colours that aren’t black. I have so much black in my closet that it seemed only natural to wear my sweater with a pair of black jeans or one of my tulle skirts. Still, I decided to challenge myself by wearing something that wasn’t black and I found blue to be a perfect, complementary colour.
I thought a navy blue colour would work but then I noticed my pleated skirt from a couple a summers ago. The faded pastel blue colour actually paired really nicely with the bold, bright orange. I also had this adorable bag from Papaya & Co. that had a similar colour scheme. That pretty much convinced me I should wear them together and I’m happy with the results.
