How to be the paper bag princess but make it fashion.
The paper bag pant—also called the paper bag waist pant—is one of this year’s most beloved fashion trends. The gathered waist, not unlike a tied paper bag, is a stylish update the regular work pants we usually wear. Personally, I’ve been living in these paper bag pants this year and I will continue to wear them into 2019.
I can’t stop wearing them
I just love the versatility and comfort of these pants. I can pair them easily with a cotton tee or a sleek body suit. I can easily wear an oversized sweatshirt for a comfy, casual look or wear a structured button-up top to look every inch a preppy, city girl. I’ve always struggled to find a balance between the business casual dress code I often encounter at work and the artsy and sometimes eccentric style choices I make as a fashionista. These pants are a nice middle ground, I think.
