I made my own jumpsuit and it’s amazing

Sometimes a DIY outfit is in order.

I love jumpsuits—or rather the idea of them. An all-in-one outfit is my idea of heaven. There is no added styling necessary. No muss, no fuss. Unless you have to go to the bathroom, that is. Then you’re in trouble.

As a girl who normally lives in rompers and overalls during the summer months, jumpsuits seem like a fancier version of my wardrobe staples. And yet, I don’t own any. Not one. This is partly because of my body shape. I’m not only tall, but I’m curvy too and I haven’t met a jumpsuit that both fits and flatters me.  I pretty much gave up on jumpsuits until this magical combination of culottes and a matching top stumbled into my life recently. I found a pair of stretchy pleated wide-leg trousers at a random H&M in Buffalo. It was on sale for like $5 USD and I couldn’t walk away from them. Either they’d be an absolute style steal or I just found myself a new pair of house pants. It ended up being the former.

But still, I couldn’t figure out how to style them. As someone who prefers skinny jeans and leggings, I have to admit the wide leg shape of these trousers kept throwing me off for some reason. They sat in my closet for a few weeks before I found its perfect pairing. Enter the pleated tank top from Addition Elle. I found it on the sale rack and the rest, as they say, is history.

Check out the photos below and as always outfit details are at the bottom.
