I’m a little obsessed.
I don’t understand how February is already over. I have such a hard time keeping track of the days now that I’m home all the time, but I’m happy that this month came and went so quickly. My favourite part of this month was Valentine’s Day weekend. I started the Friday night watching the final To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before movie with my besties and spent the rest of the weekend sleeping. binge-watching The Mindy Project, and treating myself to a mini spa day. I even dressed up for the occasion. Take a look at the products I’m really liking this month.

A glossy lip
This Patchology lip treatment isn’t new to my beauty routine, but I’ve been using it nonstop lately. My lips have been a little on the dry side, so I needed to stash my lip balm and pull out the big guns. I love the texture and thickness of this product. It goes on as a thick gloss that tingles initially, but quickly dries down to a light balm. After about five minutes, the skin absorbs most of the formula, leaving behind a balmy texture on the lips. I normally use it as a nightly treatment, but I’ve been using it throughout the day to give my lips an extra boost of hydration.
Dried flowers > fresh flowers
As much as I love having fresh flowers in my house, I don’t really buy them during the winter months. I feel like I don’t get to enjoy them for very long before they die. So over the last few months, I’ve been ordering dried flowers and I don’t know why I didn’t think of buying them sooner. There are tons of local flower shops selling dried flowers, but my favourites are May Flowers, Euclid Farms, and Botany Floral Studio. My first purchase was a bundle of little bunny tails, which I now have in a several colours. But I’ve also fallen in love with palm leaves. What I really like is that most shops sell the flowers separate, so you can build your own dried flower bouquet. I’ve had a lot of fun creating my own arrangements.

The ultimate bath bomb
My love of bath bombs knows no bounds, so I had to try out this Aprodite bath bomb from Bathorium. It’s actually huge. If I had to compare it to a fruit, I’d say it’s the size of a mango whereas most bath bombs are the size of an orange. It took forever for the bath bomb to finally disintegrate and the top is filled with dried rose petals to make your bathwater look a little more decadent. It’s scented, but I really love the mix of vanilla and coconut scents. It’s not something I would use every time I had a bath, but I would definitely use it on the days when I want to feel a little fancy.
A little red dress
If I’m being honest, I don’t have a lot of red in my closet. I tend to gravitate toward other colours like yellow, pink and green, but decided to dress up in red for Valentine’s Day. Now, I’m thinking red might be my new favourite colour, because I absolutely love this dress. It’s so comfy, but the mesh layer makes it look a little fancier than your typical slip dress. I’m a huge fan of puffed sleeves and I really liked the mock collar, too. It’s definitely not a winter dress, but I’m excited to wear it in the spring when it’s a bit warmer.
Bite Beauty’s new mascara
On the days that I actually wear makeup, I still sometimes skip the mascara. But if I ever do wear it, I usually reach for Bite Beauty’s new Upswing Full Volume Mascara. Not only do I get incredibly full, long lashes, but they don’t feel crispy or hard. There’s still a bit of flexibility to them and I don’t have to worry about them flaking through out the day. Comfy and stylish loungewear
In the last year, most of my clothing purchases have been pyjamas and loungewear pieces. I normally just wear old T-shirts to bed, but now that I’m home all the time, I’ve decided to expand my options. One of my friends introduced me to this Canadian brand through Instagram. It’s called The Good Girls Club and they’re a streetwear brand based here in Toronto. I have a few pieces, but my favourite is definitely the cropped hoodie. It’s so cozy and it looks really good with my high-waisted joggers.
